As of August 01, 2009, any Wisconsin propane dealer is required to be licensed. This is important for you
the consumer.
Dealers who are not licensed may not have the proper safety training for their employees, or may not be
insured. Also if a dealer is found to be operating without a license, they could be put out of service
until they apply for and go through the necessary procedures to get licensed which could leave you without
a supplier during the heating season. Your supplier should have their contractor license number posted
somewhere for their customers to view.
We will be opening a new office at our Wisconsin Rapids division this fall. We have purchased the property
adjoining our existing property and will have it ready before the next heating season begins.
We will also have a bottling station for filling propane cylinders of most sizes as well as motor homes.
We will also be installing a kerosene tank and a fuel oil tank that our customers can purchase fuel from in
small quantities during our office hours. More to follow on these.
As of January 1, 2009, Auburndale oil company has acquired the business and assets of
Peoples Fuel Company in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. The entire business will be operating under
the name of Auburndale Oil and Propane, Inc. We have delivery trucks based out of Wisconsin Rapids
as well as Auburndale, and also a bulk plant in Wisconsin Rapids which allows us to give better service in
that area.
